Data we handle
Stored locally on your device
The extension stores the following in your browser's local storage so it can remember your settings between sessions:
- Your sign-in token (so you don't need to log in every time)
- Your customized note template and form preferences
- Your saved lab packages and favorites
- Your selected medical specialty
- A recent history of notes you generated, kept locally on this device only
- Your medication refill duration preferences
This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly use the AI refinement feature described below.
Read from the EHR pages you view
When you click an action such as Import from EHR, Auto-Fill Labs, or Load Medications, the extension reads information from the patient page you are actively viewing (demographics, vitals, medications, lab results) and fills the form for you. This information is not transmitted anywhere — it just populates the side-panel form so you can review and edit before saving the note.
Sent off-device only for optional AI refinement
When you click Refine with AI, the extension sends your note draft and the form data used to generate it to our backend service, authenticated with your account. Our backend forwards the request to an AI language-model provider to produce the refined text, which is streamed back to your browser.
We do not store the content of your notes on our server after the request is complete. No AI provider credentials are shipped inside the extension.
What the extension does not do
- No analytics, telemetry, or behavioral tracking
- No advertising or third-party marketing data
- No data sold to or shared with third parties for their own use
- No activity on any website outside the specific EHR pages the extension supports
- No screen capture, clipboard monitoring, or keystroke logging
- No persistent background network activity
Data retention
- Data in your browser's local storage persists until you uninstall the extension or clear it manually.
- Requests you send for AI refinement are processed in real time and are not retained on our server after the response is returned.
